All this week I have been getting up at 7:30 AM to arrive at 9:00 at a kids' art and drama camp I'm helping with. It runs for two weeks, and today ended week one. On top of that, I've had Seussical rehearsals every night except tonight, so I was always getting to bed late, worn out from dancing my little heart out, then getting up early again for camp. But it's all good. Next week I get to do it all again *tired happy dance*. So you may not hear from me much. But anyway. The camp. It's run by a local artist, and she is really nice and fun and lives in a yellow and purple house with a pool and an art room and a piano and a ton of lovely flowers and a cute little dog named Poncho. Throughout the week, the kids come up with a play idea, a script, characters, props, costumes, and a set, then perform their play for their parents on Friday. This group did Candy Land theme. It was adorable.
Finally, I have a short brake tonight and tomorrow until 2:00, when I have rehearsal again. So tonight I kicked back with popcorn and an iced chai latte and watched August Rush, which my dear little sister gave me for my birthday. Yeah, it was pretty much lovely.
DBF Out!
