Seuss Seuss Seuss Seuss...SEU-UUSS!

I'm sure you guys are sick of hearing about Seussical, but I just had to post about our first three runs last weekend.  It was spectacular!  Our energy was the highest it had ever been on opening night, and we had a great crowd.  And now we get to do it again Thursday through Saturday night of this week and next week.  Here are some pictures my mom took during our final dress rehearsal:

Oh! The thinks you can think!

We're Whos, here.

Jojo and the Cat in Hat
Ah, good times.  In other news, I got a lot of art stuff for my birthday, as well as a Starry Night print for my new bedroom (which still isn't finished), and a lot of gift cards.  So now I can't wait to go shopping.

My cat Lucy died last night.  It was really sad, but he'd lived a long happy life.  Still, it's kind of a strange emptiness, since he'd been around ever since I was one year old.  Well, it had to happen sooner or later.

On a happier note, it's looking like my family and I will be headin' back to Orlando this September for some fun at Universal Studios.  I'm so ready for some thrill.

Okay, this post is beginning to feel very unorganized and random, but bear with me.  I am our church's vacation Bible school music director this year.  Unfortunately, the whole theme is Gold Rush, so the theme song has a very cheesy country sound: "Saddle up yer pownies, and dust awff yer boots/ Grab yer bandanas, we're minin' for thu truth."  On the other hand, I'm free to make any changes and choose the songs we'll sing, so it really isn't too bad.

My sister gave me some purple mood nail polish for my birthday.  I went to bad last night with purple toe nails and when I woke up, they were pink.  The odd thing is, purple is supposed to mean hopeful, and pink is supposed to mean happy.  This morning, my throat hurt really bad, so I was ever so hopeful I'd get better before tomorrow night.  Yet my nails were pink.  Perhaps my moods aren't very readable.

And this is my first ever pair of converse!  My younger sister wanted me to say that she has the same pair. Anyway, they're my favoritest I've ever seen.

I could go on and on with all this randomness, but I believe this is enough for one post.  I am going to try to stay on top of my blogging more, because I love doing it, and I should have more time to now.

DBF Out!

  1. Ahh, Seussical looks fantastic!! I'm really glad that opening night was a success, considering how much work has been put into it. The pictures are also fantastic! I love how colorful and fun everything looks.

WHAT! When was/is your birthday? I've gotta get working on something for it pronto!

I'm sorry to hear about your cat! ): It's nice that he lived a long and happy life. My prayers will be with you and your family!

Woohoo, Orlando! That sounds like it's gonna be awesome!

Congrats on being music director! Haha, I remember slightly cheesy VBS music...hopefully you'll be the remedy for that.

Ah, I used to wear mood reading nail polish all the time when I was younger! It never really could read my mood; it told me that I was always depressed. Maybe it's because my skin is always cold? I think that's how it "reads" moods, by temperature. I hope that your throat feels better super soon!

Woah, the Converse are awesome!! I love the designs on them! I have a pair too, although mine are plain red. I try to resist doodling all over them like I do with practically all of my other shoes, haha.

  2. WoW! Your Suessical performance looks fabulous! I agree with Meg, the artsy scnerey looks awesome. It makes me excited to look forward to when our next school play starts. :) Glad you are having lots of fun with that.

And yes! When was your birthday? Happy late birthday then :) I'm sre Meg will come up with something great as a special surprise.

And sorry about Lucy :( I know how it feels to loose a beloved pet. Hopefully you will have a great time at Universal though, I know I did. It feels like you're in the movie itself, which is how I wish life was everyday.

On the note of nail polish I have to say my favorites are my rich teal color, and I painted my nails black with gold shimmer on top and it looks really cool, not to mention they are my school colors. :D

And lastly sweet shoes! I am a little jealous haha. I have one pair that are burgundy with lots of random prints on them. I also have a pair of Airwalks which look like converse, and those are blue and purple plaid.

For the most part it looks like you a leading a great life :) have fun.

  3. Thanks guys. And I turned 17 on July 14. I was working at camp, and then had a rehearsal that night, so it was a pretty full day!
After hearing Kellie talk about all the cool new stuff at Universal, it got me itching to go again.
I think when we finally get together some day, we should get a bunch of crazy nail stuff and do some manicures!
