Celebrating one whole year of blogging!

At this time, precisely one year ago, I was using this very laptop, sitting on this very bed, sitting not in this very room, creating a blog.  And if I recall correctly, Queen Elizabeth created The Girl, the Blog, and the Painting on that day as well.  And all I can say is, looking back on 2011, blogging was one of the best, most entertaining, most encouraging things I did.  So, a big warm virtual hug to my followers, aka, DBFs.

Unfortunately, I did reach my goal of 100 posts by New Year's Day, but I don't go down without a fight, so over the course of the day I'll keep posting until I reach 100.

I ate goat cheese pizza at Brixx pizza the night before last, and then I had "Love It" size Oreo cream filling ice cream with brownie mix-in from Cold Stone creamery.  These were some of the most delightful dairy creations I've ever consumed. I just thought I'd share that with you guys. Please don't think I'm weird because I love goat cheese. Or you can if you want. I don't really mind. ;)

I'm more than half-way through The Hunger Games book 1. Very much awesome. Can't wait to see the movie.  In fact, since it's coming to theaters in March, I have this fantasy hope that we three can get together and celebrate Kellie's birthday by meeting at some halfway point of these miles that separate us and seeing The Hunger Games.  Or we could wait and see if that Narnia exhibit comes to Kentucky again.

I am very sorrowful that I cannot find the video camera, because my laptop's camera is a pitiful little thing, and our Cannon has poor sound quality. So no music videos yet. But one of my resolutions is to post some of my songs, with music, on my blog.  It will happen. Unless something catastrophic happens.

Now I'm off to finish my autumn leaf collage.  Pictures to come.
