I am the victor of a three week battle...

Bwa ha ha ha! This feels good.  So, about three weeks ago I came up with the words to a song to post on my blog, and my mom thought I should make a slide show video of it. After downloading various movie makers and creating several accounts and having frustrating moments and all that other stuff, I am pleased to say I have made it happen. As you watch, just imagine the lyrics in the pictures in the place of the actual lyrics.

Life is good. I even managed to get a new blog template and enable comments on it. I feel like I know more than I did before I started this, though there is still a whole host of computer smarts I'm clueless about. But I have learned a lesson: where there's a will there's a way. I think my will to do this was stronger than I thought.

Anywho, credits. I need to post the credits:
Alanis Morisette - Wunderkind
the other Pevensie girl - for allowing me to use some of the hilarious products of her genious (i.e. the Blunderkind pics)
Skandar Keynes - for his adorableness

Keep smilin' :)

My morning walk

Ever wondered what it'd be like to live in the clouds? Here's a taste of it:

I must say, despite the gray, it's got a misty beauty of its own.

As I'm typing this post, I am also waiting for an eternally slow you tube video to upload. It's my first one, and if it doesn't work, I'm going to be angry.  Thankfully, if it doesn't work, I will have something to calm me down.  My youngest sister made some chocolate chip cookies today, and by my special request, she made a few BIG ones (like 4 inch diameter). One of these I shall devour with some ice cream while watching Peter Pan (the one with Jeremy Sumpter as Peter).

I am supposed to be working on a miniature ski resort right now for a homeschool group event next Friday (but I wanted to blog).  I'll post some pictures when its finished. The event is a sort of art show/ miniatures show. We usually have them separate, but we combined them this year. I have a zillion things I want to bring in addition to my ski resort, but my mom said I should only bring two or three. I'll probably bring my collage, but I'm not sure what else. Any suggestions?
I am also bumming because the event doesn't start until seven pm, which means the living room premier of the Dawn Treader may be postponed until Saturday 0.0

Well, I believe 'tis supper time; look for another post later tonight.
(Holy smoke, this video has been uploading for almost an hour and it's only at 20%!)

Henry is still a very naughty boy....

Yes, I'm afraid he is still being rather beastly and wants to eat Edmund. I even reprimanded him: "Bad Henry!" But I don't think he heard me.  So, in case you haven't guessed by now, I saw the Dawn Treader today.  I found out Friday that it's playing at the pizza and movie place in a nearby city (I literally screamed when I discovered it), so my dad said we could see it today. I do feel rather fat right now because I ate so much pizza (which was delicious), but more powerful is that wonderful Narnian feeling inside. I just hope my occasional outburst comments didn't disturb any other movie-goers, lol. And of course, at the end I was crying and shaking, and said "Ah, this is really EMOTIONAL!" and stayed in the theater to hear all of "There's a Place for Us."  And I got to fall in love with Edmund all over again. Hopefully this day will get me through the next eleven days.

In other news, I still know nothing about whether or not I'll be in Robin Hood, it is very likely that I'll go to the National Young Leaders Conference, a couple of my friends and I are hopefully going to make a movie, and I plan to post a song I've written and something else really soon. So there you have it.

Oh, and I must warn you: "Beware of the Oppressor; he's very oppressive!"

My apologies...

for not posting for over a week.  I have been working on a project to post, and it has been a struggle from which I am not emerging very successful. But if at first you don't succeed, try try again. Or compromise. (I made up that last part xD) Anyway, to catch up with my life:

1. I won't be in The Miracle Worker, but my littlest sister will. I still know nothing about Robin Hood, though I came out of auditions feeling pretty confident.
2. I received an invitation from the National Conference for Young Leaders to attend a 10-day conference in Washington D.C. It costs a lot of money, but I'll apply for their scholarship and hopefully I'll get to go around June of this year. There'll be speeches by some government people that I really know nothing about, but also a banquet, dance, and a trip to the Smithsonian Museum. So, yeah. I'm hoping I get to go, even though I have little ambition for becoming a government leader.
3. Spring is feelin SO good!
4. The latest Pirates 4 trailer has got me even more impatient for May 20 to get here.
5. Filming has at long last begun for The Hobbit, and Orlando Bloom will return as Legolas. Lemme hear a big loud HALLELUJAH! The only thing is, it's predicted release date is around December of 2012. >.<
6. Two weeks and a day. Keep breathing Caroline, the Dawn Treader will come. (Waiting for movies is going to be the death of me.)
7. I have recently discovered just how wonderful the crock pot is. Right now the scent of barbecued ribs is wafting through the house making me hungry.
8. I just this minute heard a low grumble of thunder. They're giving crazy storm warnings for my area, even tornadoes, which is very strange since I'm in the mountains.

Well, there you have it; a good dose of randomness.
Keep smilin'!

And again I wish you...

Happy Birthday, Queen Elizabeth! (I think I got the date right this time, lol) I hope you had a marvelous day. To celebrate, I thought I'd post some Skandy-eye candy. Ack-chellay, he's more than candy.........eye-cake and ice cream!

Heart melter!

This is my post

For lack of a better title, lol.  I just felt like posting, so I am.  I went to Narnia Web today, and yaaayyyy! There will be deleted scenes on VDT! And there'll be a three disc edition. And the covers look good, except the three disc one didn't have Caspian, which is wrong because it has the White Witch on it. Crazy cover people. At least Edmund and Lucy were on them all.
Also while I was on Narnia Web, I thought I'd take a walk down memory lane and read the December posts where we DBFs first met.  It was fun, and funny, at times.  We left a zillion comments, just saying random things about our lives and how much we love Skandar; thank goodness we started blogging, xD.

It was raining earlier today, so I went walking in it. I like to suck the rainy air into my mouth and then exhale through my nose; it tastes fresh. But now you'll never guess what the weather's doing. Did you guess? Yep, it's snowing. And then on Saturday it's supposed to be sunny and 64 degrees. Sheesh.
Speaking of Saturday, I'll be auditioning that morning for *drumroll* Robin Hood! I'm so excited, but also anxious. I want to audition perfectly, so I can get a good role. I thought maybe Maid Marion, but then I'd possibly have to kiss Robin, and I don't really want to that. O.o My friend told me about another female character who has a dramatic death scene; if I got that role, I'd be a happy camper, er, actress.

Some movies I've watched recently: Prince of Persia, Shrek The Final Chapter, and Robin Hood (can you tell I like Robin Hood?).  I didn't really like Prince of Persia; it didn't captivate me.  Shrek was cute, but not the best animated movie I've seen. Robin Hood, starring Russel Crowe, I liked.  It was more of a "merry adventures" prequel, and it was neat to see a new take on the legend. Cate Blanchett was a wonderful Maid Marion, and the country was breath-taking. However, no matter how many movies I watch, I can never get my mind off of 2010's best movie.  Just a month, week, and a day, and then the Dawn Treader makes port at my dvd player.

Narnia out!

The Return of Jadis

She's not going down without a fight here.  And the poor animals are getting tired of it. Ack-chellay, the snow had a very magical, Narnian beauty to it, and I enjoyed it, though I would have preferred warmer temperatures and sunshine for a walk. But I thought I'd share the lovliness:

Susie May wants to come in.

Ethel does too!

Lucy already is in.  My parents thought this cat was girl when they named it, but they later found out that it just isn't true, lol.   Mr. Lucy

And I reflect on my attempted slight Irish accent...

10:00 this morning- audition for The Miracle Worker (which is about Helen Keller) at local theater.  This was only my second audition ever. I'm not very good at it yet, especially since it's cold reads. I was told I would be reading Anne Sullivan's monologue. This was unexpected; Anne is around 20 years old when the story takes place, and I'm 16 and look my age. Oh, and Anne has a slight Irish accent, I was told. The woman telling me all this was really nice, and even demonstrated the accent for me.  But when I did the monologue, I have a feeling I completely failed the accent. In fact, I think I was trying so hard on the accent that I kinda let myself weaken in other areas. So, I probably made a fool of myself, but it was extra experience, nonetheless. And then I was handed another partial script, in which Anne has a conversation with James. I knew the guy auditioning for James (he was in A Christmas Carol), and he was supposed to be doing a Southern accent. It must have been kind of funny to hear us, because we both admitted to each other that this accent thing was pretty shaky, but other than that, I think we did okay. But I seriously doubt I'll be Anne Sullivan.  She's one of the main characters, and I have little experience, and if Anne isn't done right it would ruin the play. So, I'll likely get another ensemble role. But I'm cool with it. For one thing, I just love being on stage. For another, next week is Robin Hood auditions!!!! I'm determined to get a good role in that. So this week will be filled with cold reading practice.

Okay, now that I've probably bored you to tears with all my audition talk, here's my plan for the remainder of the day: paint a watercolor painting, practice cold reading, finish writing my song for the Country Western Show, practice harmony with my sisters, and play piano.  Except, I don't know what to paint: dragon? Dawn Treader? hummingbird?

And now, for a really dumb joke: What is green and has little red wheels?

Grass; I was just kidding about the wheels. xD
That was one I heard in drama class.
