So, none of these are exactly fantasy, but you can use your imagination. (hey, is that Glimfeather?)

My first chalk pastel. I have a thing for owls.

This is acrylic on cardboard. (I had no canvas on hand.) It is of the Fawnlay Meadow, a place in my short story Quest for the Silver Horn. |

I have no idea why this uploaded sideways, but if you just cock your head to the right, you'll see my first official watercolor wash painting.

And again, no idea why it's sideways, but it's my chalk pastel poinsettia that I did at Christmastime. |
These are FANTASTIC!!! I love how you can handle all these different mediums :) I still am not to good at oil pastels so I won't be posting any of them soon haha :) I love your owl, my mom thought that one was great. Your water color is beautiful, great contrast with the tree and the sky. And your style of acrylic is very unique, I like how you do a bunch of little lines, but when you look at it far away you see the whole thing. I love your meadow, how you can see all the way back to the mountains. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! My acrylic style for this painting is inspired by Van Gogh. One of my favorite paintings is his "Starry Night."
ReplyDeleteI love to try new mediums. I'm in a period of artistic exploration right now, dabbling my brush here, blending lines there, until I find "the one" for me. Who knows? I may even start sculpting one day!
ooooh! I love clay work :) But I only have access to it at school :( I was thinking how close your style is to Van Gogh's. I watched an interesting documentary on him once. Oh! And if you wanted to know my birthday I share it with Justin Beiber, Einstien, and Jamie Bell. :) haha a little webbing you will have to do lol
