Bee Balm and Chickadee

I now venture into the more natural side with my art, painting some of my favorites from my habitat.  It's the little things, you know...
Acrylic Bee Balm on canvas board.  This flower grows on the mountain where I live, but it's winter, so I had to use a picture for reference.

Watercolor Chickadee.  These adorable little birds come to our feeder, but they don't stay still, so again, I had to use a picture.

  1. I love the wintery-ness of these paintings, very well done. I've been trying to paint a scene at night, but I have been SO busy that I still have not started it. I may have to wait until next weekend :( These are great again, how did you discover the bee-balm paint? Is it organic? THe texture looks great.

  2. Crap I feel REALLY dumb, I looked up Bee Balm and it is the name of the flower. Wow I feel stupid...

  3. Don't. I can understand why you thought that if you've never heard of the flower before. But this will probably be one of those things we'll look back on and have a good laugh about xD
Isn't awful when you're so busy over the weekend that you can't paint? I hate it. I didn't get the chance to either; these were from last week.
And thank you for the lovely comment; it was encouraging. :)
