I was watching Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest this evening with my littlest sister, and she pointed out this one part. In the clip, it's at about 2:47.

I immediately thought, "It's KING Edmund, ack-chellay," lol.
Also, I really like this song, Eet, by Regina Spektor, but I can't figure out what it's about. Any ideas?

And that's about it for now. *waves goodbye*
I love that movie, and yes I never though about it, but it does remind me of Ed. They say it in almost the same way too.
ReplyDeleteAnd I really like that song. I don't know what the "eet" part means, but I think the rest is about loosing something that you care about. She could be talking about a guy probably. Because the whole analogy about forgetting the words to your favorite song, would be like no longer having your boyfriend or something. You are so used to them, that when you loose them you can't understnad what happened. Something like that.
Yeah, I was kinda following that, but the part about someone deciding whether or not to steal and the little boy crying because his brother won't give him a turn kinda threw me off. But I like songs like this that make you think, and then when you figure it out you're like "Oh, I get it now! Cool." Thanks for the explanation. :)
ReplyDeleteI do hope you know that every time I hear/read/think about the word "actually", I automatically think of Ed and you two. (;
ReplyDeleteI, too, have been questioning the meaning of that song (which I loooove!). Thanks for the insight, Queen Elizabeth! Songs that make you think are the best.
Glad to help. :) I love songs that make you think too, and songs with a story.
ReplyDeleteFunny you say that Meg, about actually, because just today I was writing the word during school and I came so close to spelling it "ack-chellay" xD
