Just catchin' up...

Spring is blooming and everything is coming to life.  And my life seems to have picked up on this busy energy and turned crazy.  I'll begin my senior year this August, so I want to finish up as many textbooks now as can, because I'll have to take physics and possibly (but I am praying not) calculus.  And I want to go to college, so I'm trying to decide what I want to do so I can determine the most fitting university.  And with the end of this school year coming up, I'll have to take a test (probably the ACT), so I'll have to study for that.  And then there's the D.C. conference.  I am having a horrible time deciding whether I'll do all the hard fundraising stuff so I can go or not.  It'll take away a huge chunk of my summer.  But it'd be my first time on a trip by myself, and the thought of it thrills me!  I just don't know what to do!  I STILL don't know if I'll be in Robin Hood or Seussical, but I am going to apprentice at my local theater. YES!  My drama class is putting on a country western show at the end of this month, which I have a feeling will be a lot of fun.  And on top of all this, I'm trying to remain a singer/songwriter and artist.  But I'll be okay; I have to remember "Breathe.  Just breathe." (Btw, that song has been stuck in my head.)

In more interesting news, my dad went to the grocery store today on his way home from work and did something very unlike his usual, health conscious self: he bought six cartons of ice cream.  Vanilla, French vanilla, cherry vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and strawberry.  And I'm like "Heck yeah!" Ice cream fest!  And so I had an extremely pleasant bowl of cherry vanilla ice cream while watching Tangled this evening.  What a fun ending for a Thursday.  But tomorrow is Friday. The 8th. Of April.  Must. Go. To. Walmart.  Hopefully I can keep my squealing to a minimum as I purchase the best movie of 2010.  Unfortunately, the homeschool group art/miniature show is tomorrow night, and then the next morning my little sister has Miracle Worker rehearsal, and that night the three of us are singing at a singing at some church we've never been to, and the there's church on Sunday, and then it's Monday again. I'll squeeze it in somewhere.  I really hope there'll be a blooper reel in the two disc set.

Okay, I think I've covered the basics; somehow I always manage to type these looonnng paragraphs in my everyday posts. Just call me Rambler of Rohan, lol.  Until next time, whenever that may be, love to you my DBFs. :)

  1. Coffee icecream is THE BEST!!! It's so good! Lucky you :) It seems you have a lot going on, and I can't believe you're going to be starting your senior year. That must seem so odd for you lol I still can't believe I'll be a junior. Oh my! Hopefully you will get all of your fundraising over with quickly. I guess I'm spending this summer doing drivers ed, looking for a job, and applying for tons of scholarships. Good luck, and love to you too DBF! :)

  2. Thanks. Yeah, I've been saying for a while that I need to get a job; since I'm getting my liscense probably this month, I may go job seeking. And same here about the scholarships. I just don't know what school I want to go to yet, because I there's so much I want to do. But it'll very likely be something in the arts, visual or performing. How about you?

  3. I'm still not sure about colleges. I'll probably start at a community college and transfer to a university. I know I want to be involved in film. Either directing, scree-play writing, or animation/special effects. I kind of want to go to a college out of state near all the action, but there's no way that I could afford it. But I really don't want to settle. Do you think you might do something with music, or is that more a major hobby?

  4. I may; people keep telling me I have a talent for songwriting, so who knows? You could see me on an itunes playlist someday, lol.
That's so cool; I love how ambitious you are! My mom really wants for me to go to Berkley music college in Boston if I do go into music, but, like you, money's a stumbling block. We'll just have to apply for a bunch of scholarships. Have you taken the SAT yet?

  5. I have not yet taken the SAT. I've taken the PLAN, for it. I take it next year. Not something I'm looking forward to. lol

  6. Haha, yeah it's no fun at all. I think I'm taking the ACT soon. Studying the Princeton Review books really helps. I went through their 2010 SAT edition and it was a tremendous help on the test and I got a good score. I wish you luck with it!
