What an Easter...

My mom is the very best there is for setting up Easter baskets, and doing lots of other things that I won't talk about at the moment because I'm giving attention to the Easter basket right now.  So, I come downstairs at the hundredth call of my little sister, my hair wound up in bobby pins for a new Sunday morning curly style, and I see this:

How about an up-close look at the guardian of my chocolate?

I picked him up with trembling hands, and he now guards my bedside. :) There is also a mini-bio on the back, which tells of how "his wisdom has matured and his wisdom has strengthened," and "he helps his older brother." I think help is a bit of an understatement, but I don't care.  My mom says I now have a "Portable Pevensie," and that is a most delightful thing.

And I have spent a good deal of time learning to play "Arrival at Aslan's How" from this!  It has every single one of my favorites from the movie: The Kings and Queens of Old, The Door in the Air, The Call, This Is Home, and others.  Score! (pun intended)
Here's some of the pictures inside:

In other Narnian news, I now have VDT on my iPod! *happy dance*
So, to finish recounting my Easter: after church, we ate lunch at my grandparents.  And I had stopped doing egg hunts, but my mom told me the grand prize was a really good one, and I might be upset if I didn't do the hunt.  It was just me and my sisters, and I won. My reward? A box of Godiva chocolate truffles. Yumsters!

So my Easter consisted of a risen Savior, lots of chocolate, and Narnia.  May a complaining word never escape my lips.

Let there be Narnia and DBF Out!

  1. That is the most amazing Easter basket my eyes have ever seen! Is that a trading card then of Ed? If so that is sooo awesome! :) And that music book is pretty sweet too. Where did your mom find it? My mom said she saw some stuff like that at the Christian Bible store in town, so I'll have to check it out. :) You should make a video of yourself playing one of the songs, I have yet to make one of myself playing Wine Red.

  2. Yes, it's a trading card. And I don't know where my mom found the music book; probably online like Amazon or eBay. And I do want to post some videos of me playing piano and also singing a couple of my songs, but I don't know how to get the videos from the video camera to my laptop. The camera doesn't have a usb cord, and I don't know how to transfer files from a memory card. But I'll keep workin on it. Can't wait to hear Wine Red! :)

  3. Oh.
    My.
    Galma.

I am in awe. Haha, "Portable Pevensie", that's fantastic! (Or should I say Skantastic?) AHHH. I had no idea that there was written music from Narnia! I can't wait to hear some of it. (:

Okay, techy to the rescue. d; Do you have a card reader? They're extremely nifty cause you can put your card right into it and pull stuff right from your card from your PC. I'm fairly positive that they attach to your PC via USB port. If you get a good one, it'll last a few years. I'd personally recommend any brand but Casio (I've had yet to come across anything Casio that I haven't had some sort of tussle with, but that's only my personal opinion). If you go to the right place you can get one pretty cheap (I'd say anywhere between $15-$40, but prices may vary from my corner of the universe to yours), but just always make sure that it supports the type of card that you use.

Whew, now my finger workout is taken care of for the day, haha. Hopefully I was of some help! But anyways, I salute your Narnian musical endeavors, and also your chocolatey egg hunt victory! Thanks for the pics, too; they are divine. (:

  4. Thanks! I'll have to check and see if we have one around the house already; if not, then it's off to Best Buy! :)
